Let's be clear, no one is "for abortion", people are for the right to choose whether they want to be a parent or not. Most abortions happen in the first trimester, when the fetus is the size of a grain of rice to a large strawberry, and impossible to live outside the womb.
It's been 50 years and we are back here again. There is so much going on in our country that needs to be addressed, this is not one of them.
Forcing motherhood on women is barbaric, and a cruel injustice to all women.
It keeps her from getting an education, fulfilling her dreams and keeps her in poverty. And, her child is likely to suffer. Why aren't there any consequences for the men who impregnate her?
Does anyone think that a women should be forced to raise a child regardless of whether she was raped by her father or a stranger? Of course not.
Can we teach people at an early age about birth control and how not to get pregnant? Of course we can. Doesn't that make more sense? More education equals less abortions.
We are not living in the Victorian era, women are not property, we are not second class citizens, but human beings who deserve humanitarian rights all over the world. It's that simple.
