Signs of Spring

With the war raging in Ukraine, many people feel helpless, and understandably so. I for one have to restrain myself from watching the news because I can not endure the sight of people suffering. Reading the paper is a bit more tolerable.
War is everywhere but the one in Ukraine can potentially become international, and that is frightening.
Today I posted a photograph of the Vanessa atalanta, red admiral butterfly to remind us of the beauty and peaceful aspects of our lives.
Across the street from my apartment is a park where I take many photos of nature.
Here, the admiral spreads her glorious wings wide atop the blushing blossom of a coneflower or echinacea.
An Irish Blessing
May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun.
And find your shoulder to light on.
To bring you luck, happiness and riches.
Today, tomorrow and beyond.
