When I think of pop art, I immediately think of Roy Lichtenstein's artwork of giant comic book characters with their ben-day dots, mimicking halftone print.
For me, he epitomizes the pop art movement.
I actually had the opportunity to meet him and visit his studios, both in Bridgehampton, LI, and the West Village in NYC.
He was a gentleman.
When I designed these long, Sunflower scarves I wanted to make them bright, fun, and pop with color. My Floral Sea designs are softer, subdued in color, and more sophisticated.
My intention for this design was to be fun yet smart and dress up any outfit.
The short scarves can be worn as a necktie, around the brim of a hat, or tied to a handbag. The long scarves are perfect to wrap up your hair or wear as a head scarf or traditionally, around your neck.
Either way, they are superb and should be enjoyed by everyone.
