It's not everyday a celebrity wears one of your designs, but it happened this past Friday when I attended a charity event and showed my scarves.
The gala was held at NeueHouse, located in NYC for the launching of Justice for Women, a non-profit to end violence against women & girls in Africa founded by Daphna Ziman. Girls are sold into sexual slavery at an alarming and horrific young age. This is not new but that it's still going on is unfathomable.
I have always been a supporter for women's rights since I was in my late teens, subsequently marching in Washington DC and my home state of NY.
When I asked Eugenia Kuzmina if she would wear my Iris scarf under her lavender suit, she agreed and went on the have her photos taken. The results were naturally enchanting!
Thank you Aaron Gomez of AGP Hollywood for curating the show.
