New York City always dresses up for the holidays! I genuinely love seeing the holiday window installation at the renowned stores, and the smaller shops decorated in festive and elegant ways.
Even some private homes decorate. It's delightful to wander about the Upper West and Upper East sides and get lost in the magic of it all. A word of advice, if you are bringing small children, use a stroller. It can be exhausting for adults and too much for kids.
Here is a blue-themed display that I photographed of Bergdorf Goodman's windows. I know the extent it takes to assemble these windows, I used to do it for Macy's Herold Sq, with my then boss, Linda Fargo.
Despite the negative activities you recently heard about in NYC, it's still a fantastic city to visit, so come and see my hometown for the Holidays.
