I never consider myself a fashion designer but always an artist. I love having a thought, taking that idea and it magically becomes something tangible. I feel fortunate.
Two dimensional images and colors on paper becomes three dimensional and wearable.
Creating images for women (and men) to wear and take with them is extremely rewarding as an artist. I believe all artists want their work to be shown, appreciated, and have people moved by it. Designing my scarves is my way of making that happen.
I always wanted to take my scarves (at least the patterns) and turn them into dresses, and I have. I found an amazing dressmaker, who is also an artist, here in the city.
I gave her a pattern and a few instructions and voila!
