My daughter turned 25 a few weeks ago. I know it is cliche' to say this, but where did the time go? I remember her being an infant and carrying her around the apartment in a sling, as I went about my business. Wow.
She turned into an intelligent, multi-talented, kind human being and I couldn't be more proud of her.
She is getting her master's degree in opera and was cast as the lead in the production of The Beautiful Bridegroom put on at the university. Based on an 18th-century play by Ludvig Holberg, this Mozart pastiche tells the story of a widow who has been searching for a young husband - not for her two marriageable daughters, but for herself.
It was magical, humorous and well done!
