My neighbor Elaine was born in 1923. She saw our world transform into what it is today. From computers to skyscrapers, cell phones, battery-operated cars, solar power, and beyond. She was here during WWll, the Hindenburg disaster, the Lindbergh kidnapping, the Mafia's reign of terror, the World's Fair, Ferries, the jukebox, and on and on. Incredible. She is in sound mind and enjoys time out and about, visiting museums, films, playing mahjong, etc.
On top of everything, she is kind and generous and a great neighbor.
What an inspiration to us all and I am grateful to have her in my life.
Happy 100th Birthday, dear Elaine.
